Tips for a Wedding on a Budget

Lately, in today’s economy, it has become more vital for everyone to try to save money on their weddings. More than ever brides are on the lookout for the best ways to minimize costs, while still creating that perfect wedding they have always dreamed of. Here are some tips that are sure to make your wedding less expensive—but still just as magical. Cut your guest list. This is what will lower your costs the most; the fewer the guests, the less cost will be since every guest equals an invitation, a meal and guest favors, among other expenses that you have to pay for.  Choose one splurge item. Unfortunately when it comes to the wedding industry, most everything isn’t cheap. So for example, if you have fallen in love with a high-priced venue,...

Top Wedding Trends of 2013

The over-arching trend in weddings for this year is personalization; couples nowadays do their best to be original and creative when planning their weddings, from save-the-dates to getting that perfect picture. • Colorful Bridesmaid Dresses Modern day brides are branching out from safe neutral color choices and instead are opting for bold, bright colors like coral, pink, royal blue and teal. They also aren’t afraid to mix things up and put bridesmaids in different complementary colored dresses. (Examples: http://pinterest.com/pin/206743439113758029/, http://pinterest.com/pin/115334440426888298/, http://pinterest.com/pin/70157706667790958/) • Maid of Honor Dress Going along with the first trend is the growing trend to have your Maid of Honor in a different...

10 Tips for an Outdoor Summer Wedding

Outdoor weddings have never been more popular, but we at HRB encourage you to consider all of the components of an outdoor wedding to ensure that it's a picture perfect day! Swept Away: Coucoon’s first annual bridal event

A 1997 Rolls Royce limousine parks out front the pristine salon. The deejay greets me at the receptionist’s desk while his mash-ups roar down the salon’s lush hallways. Entranced by the white chocolate, pearl embellished cake pops, I know Coucoon Signature Salon & Spa's bridal event will sustain a constant state of swooning. Glass tables on either side of me are lined with bridal magazines and butterfly-shaped chocolates embossed with gold dust. Cabinets that typically showcase Coucoon's signature shampoo line glisten as Isabelle Krupnick's bridal accessories bejewel the shelves. The hairstyling area is transformed into a combined appetizer, cocktail and hair/make-up station. I feast on a slice of Fire & Vine's apple-goat cheese pizza. The...

Over the Rainbow

Experts predict that one of the most unique trends for this year is incorporating rainbow colors into the wedding. So how do you do this without making your wedding look like a child’s birthday, a Rainbow Brite assembly or a Skittles commercial? The key is adding small touches without going crazy. Simple pops of color here and there can make for some fun photos and add a little whimsy to the day. A bouquet bursting with different colors can be a lovely contrast against a pure white dress. We love the natural look of this hand-gathered posy. (OnceWed.com)   Have some fun with bright props when you and your groom are taking photos together. A rainbow hued parasol, a cluster of colorful balloons or a spray of multicolored...
