Ugly Christmas Sweaters Have Gone to the Dogs!

Irresistible Pets

I can remember wearing those tacky Christmas sweaters (with matching light bulb earrings) back in middle school and thinking that I looked so cool. What in the world were we thinking back then with some of the fashion?!

There has been a craze over the past couple of years to attend or host Ugly Christmas Sweater parties. It’s a fun way to page homage to the holiday tackiness of the 80’s and 90’s. Have you ever been to one?

We are thinking about hosting one for the first time this year. For good reason, you don’t see a lot of tacky or ugly Christmas sweaters anymore. If you do, they are definitely intentional and probably for the purpose of these types of parties! I plan on creating my own version of tackiness because it’ll be more fun and original that way. You know you’re that crazy dog lady when your dog has an ugly Christmas sweater before you do.

I recently made one for Chuy in a Christmas Candy Land theme and it has all the tackiness, gaudiness, and bling you could ask for! It was actually really easy to make and didn’t take a lot of time. Head over to my blog, Irresistible Pets to see the full tutorial.

Even if you don’t have a party to go to, an ugly Christmas sweater is perfect for pet photos with Santa!
